APSIPA hosts an annual conference, the APSIPA Annual Summit and Conference (APSIPA ASC), which provides a forum for presenting cutting-edge research, technical discussions, and networking. The organization also facilitates workshops, special interest groups, and publications to encourage knowledge dissemination and community engagement.

Awards for students in higher education institutions in 2024 

On the morning of November 9, the closing ceremony and awarding ceremony of the Science and Technology Awards for young lecturers and students in higher education institutions in 2024 took place at Ho Chi Minh City University of Education.

IoT Challenge 2024

Recently, FPT Software Academy organized the final round of the "IoT Challenge 2024" competition. This competition was designed with the aim of identifying and nurturing talent to meet the growing demand for high-quality resources in the IoT market in Vietnam. The main theme of "IoT Challenge 2024" is IoT solutions applied to Smart City, focusing on topics such as: Smart home, smart traffic, Smart Parking car, Smart Building, Environment Management.

We extend our congratulations to the team of students from SSA Lab - Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, who achieved the first and the second prizes.

Prof. Tran Duc Tan, a member of the SSA group, gave a presentation as a keynote speaker at the 7th International Conference on Control, Robotics and Informatics (ICCRI 2024) 

Program Chair at APSIPA Workshop on Signal and Information Processing (SIP) in Vietnam 

The 3rd APSIPA workshop is a joint event between Vietnam and Korea Chapters of the APSIPA and the Signal Processing and ComSoc Vietnam Chapters of the IEEE. The aim of this workshop is to facilitate the dissemination of research results in SIP of researchers in Vietnam, and to deepen their involvement in the larger region of Asia-Pacific, via the Asia-Pacific Signal and Information Processing Association (APSIPA).

Phenikaa Student Research Competition 2024

Congratulations to 02 groups of students from SSALab who excellently won first and fourth prizes in the scientific research student competition at Phenikaa University level. 

VINIF PhD scholarships

Congratulations to Vu Hoang Dieu, a key member of SSALab, for winning the VinIF PhD. scholarship. The announcement ceremony was held on Jan. 17, 2024.

2023 Phenikaa Student Startup Innovation Contest,

On the evening of November 24, 2023, Phenikaa University hosted the Final Round of the 2023 Phenikaa Student Startup Innovation Contest, named Shining Essence. The top 5 finalists will serve as representatives of Phenikaa University in the National Competition "Students with Startup Ideas" 2023 (SV-STARTUP 2023), organized by the Ministry of Education and Training. The SSALab research team's students secured the 3rd prize with their product, PulseGuard: a smart shirt designed to alert the elderly to potential strokes.

2023 Keynote Speaker at ACCAI

Assoc. Prof. Tran Duc Tan, a member of the SSA group, gave a presentation as an invited speaker at the International Conference on Advances in Computing, Communication, and Applied Informatics (ACCAI-2023) held on May 25-26, 2023, at St. Joseph's Institute of Technology in Chennai, India.

2022 VINIF Postdoc scholarships

Congratulations to Tran Duc Nghia, a key member of SSALab, for winning the VinIF postdoc scholarship for the second year. The announcement ceremony was live streamed on December 8, 2022.

SSA members attended ATC22

The international Conference on Advanced Technologies for Communications is an annual conference series, since 2008, co-organized by the Radio & Electronics Association of Vietnam (REV) and the IEEE Communications Society (IEEE ComSoc).  

On October 1, Hanoi Open University held a training session on skills in proposing and organizing the implementation of science and technology projects in face-to-face and online collaboration. Attending the training session were Dr. Vu Van Dat - Representative of the Ministry of Science and Technology; MSc Nguyen Thi Huong Quynh – Representative of the Ministry of Education and Training; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Hung Tien - Hanoi National University; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Huong Lan - National Economics University; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Duc Tan - Vice Dean of Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Phenikaa University.

Steering Chair at ICISN 2022

The International Conference on Intelligent Systems & Networks (ICISN 2022) ran for two days (19-20 March) with regular tracks and special sessions. The conference covered topics from Intelligent Systems, Networks Application, and many more related to the conference theme. 

Assoc. Prof. Tran Duc Tan, a member of the SSA group, presented a keynote talk at SAGE International Conference - Emerging Trends and latest Researches in Computer Science on 28th and 29th of January 2022. 

SSA will join Techfest this Nov., 2021.

This year's TECHFEST aims to promote technology solutions of innovative start-ups, an "open" innovation platform in solving society's problems in the context of Covid-19 and recovering the post-Covid economy.

Congratulations, Dr. Duc-Nghia Tran, an SSA member, received a postdoc scholarship from VINIF. According to the representative of the organizing committee, in the first year of implementation, the Postdoc program attracted 187 applications from 74 training institutions and research units. The candidates are all young doctoral students, and most graduated in the last two years.
